The origins of axe throwing
Axe throwing comes to us straight from North America, and more specifically from our Canadian friends. More than 150,000 Canadians are said to be involved in this hobby. The practice has a long history on the other side of the Atlantic, but has become increasingly popular over the last ten years. Various clubs across the country compete in tournaments. There's even an international league, the IATF, present in 6 different countries, which organizes competitions between throwers from Canada, the United States, Poland, England, Singapore and Australia.

The French Knife and Axe Throwing Federation was created in 2018, and the next French Championships will be held in Brittany from May 30 to 31, 2020. Yes, don't worry, there's plenty of time to train between now and then!
